Hampton Electrical Systems are fully trained and experienced in the safe removal and disposal procedures required for asbestos containing materials (ACM’s).
Large amounts of asbestos were used in new and refurbished buildings before 2000. A large number of premises still contain some form of asbestos. People most likely to come into contact with asbestos-containing products are those in construction, maintenance, refurbishment and related trades. This will include DIY enthusiasts working on their homes. Whilst the ACM remains undisturbed and in good condition then it should not be hazardous to health. Any broken or cracked ACM’s can release dangerous fibres which, if breathed in, can cause serious diseases. Around 4000 people in Great Britain die every year from asbestos related diseases making asbestos the single greatest cause of work-related deaths.
If you have a product containing ACM’s, we will carry out a risk assessment and method statement before sealing off the area, removing the ACM’s using the appropriate PPE and class H vacuum cleaner, cleaning down the area, properly disposing of the waste at a licensed station and providing you with a consignment note for the disposal.
We are qualified in the safe removal and disposal of any non-licensed asbestos tasks such as: –
- Rewireable fuseboards
- Arc shields in electrical switchgear
- Vinyl floor tiles
- Asbestos cement boarding (such as corrugated roofing sheets)
- Soffet boards
- Electrical fires and appliances
- Drain pipes and guttering
- Asbestos sampling
So if you need asbestos removed, please call Hampton Electrical Systems Ltd, Stroud, Gloucestershire.
